Evolution Valves Ltd has recently been selected to take part in the Head into Digital campaign. This campaign is aimed at promoting the use of digital technology and tools, enabling companies to reach a wider audience whilst increasing productivity and efficiency. In this video, Peter Cone (Sales Director) explains how Evolution Valves is taking advantage of the technological tools available in the market place to enhance our capability and streamline our productivity.

The event which launched the campaign was a huge success, it took place on the 25/02/2015 at Teesside University which had some special guest speakers, one of which was Jason Bradbury (presenter of The Gadget Show) who was pleased with and supports the digital activities that we are currently doing.

The use of digital has given Evolution Valves a global credibility. A strong digital presence has increased our customer’s confidence in what we do and how we deliver it. The Digital City campaign hopes to demonstrate the benefits of working with digital tools to other businesses.

Evolution Valves are thrilled to announce the appointment of Natalia Jimson as apprentice administrator. This adds a new aspect to Evolution Valves and Natalia will play a key role in assisting staff with day to day activities as well as staff supporting her as she develops through her apprenticeship. An apprenticeship not only gives you the skills and qualities in a working environment but also helps you achieve your goal which is what we want to do for Natalia.

Evolution Valves are delighted to announce the appointment of Lawrence Finnigan as Manager of Internal Sales. Lawrence has vast experience in valve engineering and sales from working for companies such as Batley Valves and Weir Valves and Controls for over 20 years. His appointment brings another dimension to speciality Butterfly Valves servicing a broad range of industries. We look forward to adding people to our team as Evolution Valves continues to grow.

Here at Evolution Valves, we have continued our impressive growth by following our January 2014 record sales month of £1.0 million with another record sales month in August of £1.6 million.

Sales Director Peter Cone (pictured above on the left) stated that this achievement is entirely based on export sales with key orders emanating from North America, the Caribbean and Lithuania. “This is great news, not only for Stockton and our work force but also for the UK economy as we are creating global awareness of the company and the region. As a bespoke manufacturer of industrial valves for severe and critical applications in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry we find that the “made in the UK” banner is still associated globally with quality, integrity and performance which exactly fits with our products.”

We have recently opened a sales office in Houston, Texas which has significantly contributed to the recent orders, most of which were won on evolutions revolutionary new triple offset valve. Hayley Lewis, (pictured above in the middle) responsible for internal sales of the Americas stated “the demand for this product is immense and we are receiving a lot of interest globally. All of our recent success comes from the TOV and our bespoke Butterfly Control Valves.”

Anthony Stefanik, national sales manager in Houston, TX stated that “the structure of the Evolution Valves organisation promotes reliable, industry-leading customer service and Evolution Valves’ North American office in Houston, TX provides customers with reliable resources that are available to immediately respond to inquiries, questions, and clarifications. With the recent announcements from major Oil and Gas and Petrochemical companies throughout North America to invest into multi-billion dollar projects, our presence in the United States is paramount to best serve this important market place. Evolution Valves’ strategic location in Houston, TX allows us to provide consistent local support, assisting our customers with timely, custom engineered solutions, and meeting project critical commitments. Receiving a significant million dollar order within weeks of establishing this local presence, acknowledges to us that the requirement for products of quality and reliability are very much in demand.”

With this growth the there will be further investment in the Stockton factory in both capital equipment and personnel, with several key staff appointment to be made by the end of the year.

Evolution Valves started 2014 with over £1m in export orders. Most orders were orders from repeat customers with the notable exception of an €80,000 order for TOVs for a Russian refinery. These orders put the company on target for its fourth successive “record sales” year. Sales Director Peter Cone commented that “our continued investment into field sales and on hand technical support is making more and more customers Evolution friendly. We offer to take whatever issues from our customers and deliver them a workable solution. It doesn’t always get us the business, but it always gets us called back”.

Evolution Valves sent the 3rd and final shipment of cryogenic valves to its customer in the Far East in March 2014. Managing director Steve Heap (pictured above) commented “this is good news for the UK. Having a small but very determined UK manufacturer taking an order worth $1m destined for the Chinese LNG market is a great breakthrough for UK exports, and it was won by shear hard work, providing high quality product at a competitive price. We expect to see a lot more traffic in exports for 2014”.
